As the most important tool of primary prevention, vaccination targets a large number of healthy individuals in each Member State.
National immunization programmes and strategies vary among European countries, instead the impact of a vaccination programme is expected beyond political borders of a state, especially in the EU context of free circulation of persons and potential infectious vehicles.
The Venice project aims to collect, share and disseminate knowledge and best practice in field of vaccination thruough a network of European experts. A strong collaboration among states and a detailed knowledge of the current status of each country's immunisation programmes are essential to reduce the heterogeneity among states and create a common model and common tools.
