VACCINES

The aim of the VENICE project is to create a network of experts, but also to share knowledge and to disseminate information on selected issues on vaccines and vaccination. New vaccines are released continuously to improve the health of the populations. However, even for the new products the schedules are different and vary among Member States. The vaccines against five agents (Neisseria meningitidis, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Varicella-zoster virus, Human Papilloma Virus, Rotavirus) have been released quite recently in Europe and their use is still limited and not homogeneous in the Member States . VENICE wants to be a tool for helping in decision taking issues, especially for area which are still under debate.
